Unable to Search & Retrieve
The possible reasons you are unable to Search/Retrieve are:

Problems with USPTO and ESPACENET

WizPatent Manager retrieve patent documents directly from USPTO and ESPACENET databases. When USPTO or ESPACENET server is down, you will not be able to search or download data from these sources. Use Internet Explorer or any web browser and logon to USPTO (http://www.uspto.gov) or ESPACENET (http://ep.espacenet.com) to check if these websites are down.

You are blocked from USPTO

To check if you are blocked from USPTO, please check USPTO listed of blocked IP address at http://www.uspto.gov/patft/help/denied.htm

You do not have Internet Connection.

WizPatent Manager requires access to the internet to search and retrieve files from USPTO and ESPACE. Please connect to the Internet and try to search/retrieve again. If you are able to navigate to this page, you probably have Internet Connection.

Your computer is behind a firewall and this is preventing access to certain websites.

Some firewalls may prevent WizPatent Manager from running properly by denying WizPatent Manager access to the Internet. Some known firewall that may cause problems include BlackIce, Zone Alarm, BluecoatProxyAV.

Please ensure that your firewall does not restrict WizPatent Manager from accessing the following websites:

In some large corporations, you may have to contact your system administrator to remove this restriction.

Your computer is connected to the Internet via a proxy server.

If your proxy sever setting restricts you from accessing USPTO or ESPACE , WizPatent Manager will not run properly.

Please check with your System Administrator or Service Provider to ensure that you are able to access the website listed above using your current proxy server settings.
