Quick Start

WizPatent Express is an IE Side Bar add-on for searching, downloading and organizing patent documents from USPTO, Espacenet , FreePatentsOnline and Google Patent Search.It is fully integrated with Internet Explorer and allows the downloaded text and PDF documents to be easily organized into folders. The following is a brief description of sequence of events to build up a patent collection. Search for patent titles. Save relevant titles to Working List. Retrieve Patent Documents: Select from Working List . Or directly Import from your IE Browser. Save the retrieved documents to one or more folders in Patent Collection.

Search for Patent Titles

Click on Search icon and choose Database Source from drop down list.

To Save Search Results

When your IE Browser is displaying your patent search results, click on the Import... icon The Import... icon allows you to either Immediately Batch Download patents of selected titles using the Retrieve... Icon or Add your search results into the Working List with the "Add to Working List" Icon .

Retrieve Patent Documents in 2 ways

1. Select Titles from Working List In Working List, Right click on selected titles. In the drop-down menu, mouse over the "Retrieve" option to download in Text and/or PDF format.

2. Directly capture document(s) from your IE Browser into Patent Collection When your IE Browser is displaying a webpage of a patent document, click on Import... Icon . Choose which folder you wish to save this document into and click on the "Add to Patent Collection" Icon. The documents will be saved automatically into your selected folder.

Save Retrieved Documents into Patent Collection

From Retrieve Queue Under the Retrieved List, select the titles you wish to add to your collection. Click on the "Add To" Icon and choose the folder you wish to add these titles to.
